How to optimize content in the editor?

SEO Assistant

With Scalenut SEO Assistant, you can seamlessly optimize your content by following the AI assistant’s suggestions.

The content optimizer/editor lets you:

  • Audit and refresh existing content
  • Optimize a fresh content piece

Optimizing the Content

Here are the steps to optimize your content:

Generate a new report

Enter the main keyword of your article and click on ‘Create Report’ to generate the SEO report.

You can also choose from the ‘Your Recent Reports’ tab for the article that you want to optimize. Click on ‘Optimize Content’ to open the text editor.

A blank text editor will appear. Start writing or paste your existing content to the editor to start optimizing.

You can also paste the URL link to import the content from your blog page. Click on the ‘Import’ link on the left side.

Take a close look at the bar at the bottom that grades your content for the following parameters:

  1. Content grade

Scalenut’s ‘Content Grade’ is a proprietary score that evaluates the comprehensiveness of the article. This score is evaluated for all competition articles and your content piece as well.

This score directly correlates with the Google rank.

  1. Readability level

The readability level tells you how easy it will be for someone to read a particular text.

Once you paste the text in the editor or write one from scratch, Scalenut SEO Assistant will rate the readability according to the Flesch reading ease test.

Scalenut rates the readability as:

  • 4th-grade students
  • Mid school students
  • High school students
  • College graduates
  • University graduates

Scalenut suggests the readability level for the particular keyword by analyzing other pages. You can achieve this readability level by adjusting your content to the style and tonality of your target audience, keeping the sentences simple and short, and using a conversational tone.

  1. Total word count

The word count refers to the total number of words that make up the content. Scalenut uses the average word count of the top-ranking URLs and suggests the recommended content length in a defined range.

Writing more than the suggested word count won’t do any harm, though, if it is adding meaningful information for the user.

NLP Terms, Competition, Common Questions

The right side of the screen gives the NLP terms that you should use in your content. It will help improve the quality score of the article.

The usage of NLP terms in your article will help ensure it’s comprehensive for the main topic. Over a large data set, there is a direct correlation between comprehensiveness and Google ranking.

You can use the filter to find unused terms and find ways to insert them organically into your content. Also, add or remove terms from the content as suggested to improve the content quality.

To get a better idea of the contextual usage, click on the blurb icon and view the usage of these terms in the top-ranking articles.

In addition, there is a ‘Competition’ tab to understand the structure of top-ranking articles. Using the content outlines, you can find the most relevant headings and use them in your article.

From the ‘Questions’ tab, copy and paste (by clicking on the plus sign) the relevant questions to the existing content. By doing this, you can answer the questions people are talking about on social websites.

Using these suggestions from the Scalenut SEO Assistant, you can optimize your content and make it SEO-ready. Get ready to rank!
