Introduction & Setup Welcome to Scalenut! In this video, we’ll walk you through the Traffic Analyzer—your tool to track, analyze, and optimize website performance. Before you begin, ensure your Scalenut account is connected to Google Search Console. Once connected, navigate to the left panel under Apps and click on Traffic Analyzer. Select your domain and choose your target countries—you can add up to five.
The Insights Tab: Gainers and Losers The default screen is the Insights tab. Here, you’ll find Top Gainers and Top Losers. Gainers are pages that made the biggest leaps last month, while Losers are those that dropped. You can toggle between Keywords and Pages, and switch views to see Traffic, CTR, Impressions, or Rank.
As you scroll down, you’ll see detailed lists of Top Keywords and Top Pages. Data in green indicates positive movement, while red indicates a drop. You will also find New Pages (recently gained visibility) and Lost Pages (no longer receiving impressions), both of which can be sorted by clicks or impressions.
Distribution and CTR Reports Next, review your Device Distribution to see the traffic split between desktop, tablet, and mobile. This is followed by Position Distribution, where your rankings are grouped into categories like Top 3, 4–10, and beyond.
Move to the Clickthrough Rate (CTR) report to analyze how often users click on your site based on its position. You can filter these results by All, Branded, or Non-Branded keywords to see if your brand name or generic industry terms are driving more clicks.
Inventory and Deep Data Switch to the Inventory tab for keyword-level insights. This includes metrics like Keyword Count, Traffic Share, Rank Trend, and Keyword Difficulty. You can customize your columns, expand any URL to see its Top 10 ranking keywords, and filter by Gainers, Losers, or New Pages to find specific opportunities.
Solving Keyword Cannibalization Finally, let’s look at the Cannibalization tab. This reveals keywords where multiple pages from your site are competing for the same query. The report displays a Cannibalization Index and the affected pages, making it easy to optimize your site so the right page ranks for the right keyword.
Conclusion Scalenut’s Traffic Analyzer gives you the insights needed to resolve issues and uncover opportunities across both traditional search and AI engines.
Thanks for watching!
